Kmart Week 4 Entries

A big thank you to Kmart, the judges and the people who voted for my entries to Part III of the Money Can't Buy Style challenge! I received the news that I am one of the finalists right after I posted my entries to Part IV, and so as not to make them go to waste I'm sharing my outfit entries here. Most of the items are from Kmart - the cobalt blue jeggings, the black and white striped top, the crop gray sweater top and the blue-green crop top - that were all luckily on sale when I bought them! They're all from Selena Gomez's Dream Out Loud line, check them out! :)

Kmart Contest - Help Me Fulfill A Dream :)

I don't know why I just thought of this now, but just in case you guys have not seen my barrage of posts/messages about the Kmart Fashion contest ("How do you style a pencil skirt?") I recently participated in, please help me win a chance to be a part of their Spring photoshoot in New York (I looooove that city :) I wrote an entry about it here somewhere..). There are only three hours left until they close the voting period and this might just help me clinch the coveted prize *sigh* Here are the looks I came up with, and I hope they catch your fancy enough to press the VOTE button. Thank you in advance!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) Click on the links, pictures or titles to vote for that look. One vote goes a long way :D

Kmart Wish List

(I just realized that a lot of items I posted on Poylvore got reposted here! LOL sorry I'm such a newbie, but I cleared them all up.)

As most of you know, I'm a bargain shopper. I set limits on how much an item should cost - I will not pay more than $25 for jeans (unless they make me feel like I've got Jessica Alba's calves) or more than $20 for a top (unless it is extremely versatile, for a special occasion, or a classic). If you spot me in a higher-end boutique, I'll most likely be in the Sale/Clearance rack or if I'm not, I'm probably mentally taking pictures of items I like so I can find similar pieces with more reasonable price tags in other stores. So imagine my delight when I became a finalist for Kmart's "Money Can't Buy Style" fashion contest about 1 1/2 years ago, where I had the chance to create my best Kmart ensemble and wear it while on a Skype video conference with a fashion photographer.
All-grey, all-Kmart (except for the shoes - they're Hugo Boss ;) )

Blasco-Borga Nuptials

So glad I was able to snag this dress at the last minute! I squealed when I got it in the mail, you won't believe how stressful it was for me to look for a light dress during winter season. Most dresses I saw were either too short, too big or made with heavy fabric. I already bought an orange dress but the fabric didn't feel formal enough for a wedding, and the fit was not that flattering (i.e. it requires a really tall and lean body, which I do not have).

Here I am with the groom Raffy and my cousin Ting :) Forgive the awkward pose, I accidentally grazed my dress with lotion and the stain was very noticeable :( I didn't let it ruin my day though, because I was elated for my cousin :)
